Master Ou-Nam Kwon
Master Kwon was born and raised in Korea.  He trained as a child under Grand Master Kwon Lee in Tae Kwon Do, Grand Master Choun Bum Lee in Hapkido and Grand Master Jang in KumYeDo.  During this time, Master Kwon has acquired over 30 years of Martial Arts Experience and is an accomplished 5th Degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo, 6th Degree Black Belt in Hapkido and a 5th Degree Black Belt in KumYeDo which is taught by him to the Black Belt Students.  Master Kwon is the Head of the NY/ NJ Kumyedo Conference offering classes for students to obtain an Instructor rating in Kumyedo.

Master Park
Master Park is currently a Sung Hwa College student majoring in Taekwondo.  He has studied Taekwondo for 10 years and is a 4th degree Black Belt.  Last year, he interned in Germany at a Taekwondo school.  During the summer of 2011, he traveled to Papua, New Guinea for the Taekwondo Peace Corps.  Before coming to the United States, he trained at the World Taekwondo Headquarters in the Kukkiwon.  Master Park will be interning with us until December 2011.

Instructor Telesco
Michael Telesco
Michael works at Master Kwon’s as an instructor. He began training in 2003 and holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo and a 1st Degree in Hapkido as well as an instructor rating. In addition to assisting Master Kwon, Michael plays a role on the Demonstration Team, displaying the technique of TaeKwonDo.  Martial Arts has played a significant role in Michaels life and has greatly increased his concentration and confidence level.  Michael has a positive outlook on life which is the key to his success.

Instructor Thompson
Jeff  Thompson
Jeff originally began his TaeKwonDo training in 1982.  After moving to New York and a break for life events (family), he picked up his training again in 2005 along with his children.  He holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo and 1st Degree Black Belts in both Hapkido and Kumyedo along with an instructor rating.  Both of his children earned their 1st Dan Black Belts and continue to train at the school.  Jeff has a unique ability to reach out and make a positive impact on each student.  Jeff makes the classes fun and the kids look up to him for guidance, wisdom and power.

Patrick Hunt
Patrick is an Assistant Instructor at Master Kwon’s Martial Arts.  Patrick has been studying under Master Kwon since 2004.  He holds a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo, a 1st degree black belt in Hapkido and a blue belt in Kumyedo.  Alongside Instructor Telesco, Patrick has been a vital part of the Demo team since day one.  His main passion is Hapkido and will continue his training in this martial art form.  He also displays the art of Hapkido on the Demo Team.  His training at Master Kwon’s has given Patrick a “can-do” attitude which he applies not only during the hours spent at the school itself, but outside of the school as well.  The martial arts have been a huge part of Patrick’s life, and he will continue studying for years to come.

Jenny Thompson
Jenny is an assistant instructor at Master Kwon’s Martial Arts.  She has been doing Tae Kwon Do since 2005 (9 years old).  She has a 2nddegree in Tae Kwon Do and is looking forward to getting her 1stdegree in Hap Ki Do. Her favorite part of Martial Arts is the Weapon training.  Jenny was very shy in the beginning but she has grown out of her fear.  Jenny’s Academics has improved a lot as she became more confident and participated in more events.  Jenny intends to continue Tae Kwon Do at Master Kwon’s Martial Arts.
